What changed in the Texas CE rules in September 2025?
TDLR adopted new continuing education requirements effective September 1, 2025. The current requirement for barbering and cosmetology licensees is 4 hours at renewal — 1 hour sanitation, 1 hour human trafficking awareness and 2 elective hours — with only the 2 required hours for licensees of 15 years or more.
